What an idiot. You YELL the explanation, that's the secret; this works especially well for those who don't speak the same language.
If that language is Spanish, you add โoโ at the end of every word.
"Look, I don't get it myself, and I've got 50 other kids with rivers of lead flowing through their veins that I have to deal with. You're just going to have to take the L on this one."
I get this with people who don't understand "say it slower and more clearly." Then they say it with the same volume and still mumble.
I get this a lot with other languages, but especially Spanish. I sound like I'm fluent, but I can't understand it when spoken back to me for shit
One of my biggest pet peeves that sets me off a little every time is when I saw "what" and they say it again at the same volume and speed.
Then I glare at them for two seconds, and loudly and slowly say "WWWHHHAAAAAATTT?" and they act affronted for having to repeat themselves again.
I raise you same volume and speed but bigger distance (they walked to the fridge or decided to grab something quick)
I just say I can't hear them
...but, louder.
...and slower.
