It needs hardware and software support
The big players are very much pushing for this but it takes time to develop.
I just love software patients...
So it’ll be done in software instead with every player that supports it and few will notice the performance difference.
Other than those companies being cheapskates, this is kind of a nothing burger.
It means worse battery life and higher CPU usage
