I know this has been driven home before, but the idea that socialism is just spending other's money is absurd.
Overhere, there was a proposal that you get a device in your car that registers where you drive. Then charges you by kilometer and type of road, instead of the fixed tax. The howl of protest was deafening and everybody suddenly was in favor of taxes.
Sure, but socialism has little to do with taxes directly. That's my point.
I'd rather live in a small, no frills apartment with only the most basic of rent prices to help cover repairs in a socialist economy over being homeless in a capitalist one.
This is why most reactionaries desperately cling to the idea that what they’re experiencing is secretly socialism. They literally do the joke “socialism is when bad thing happens” to circle the square.
Under socialism, you will live next to a first generation immigrant from a country full of brown people, you will eat their food, experience their culture, and work side by side in pursuit of a better life.
And you will like it.
Under socialism, your video games WILL be woke, chuds.

And those that haven't, have been thrown onto the shoulders of the global south for them to suffer and be robbed. Capitalism has never worked.
