In video game terms, I think the 90s can be referred to as a classical period of sorts (at least on PC). 2000 is right at the tail end of the period though.
Vast majority of PC-focused genre were created (or refined in to their current forms) sometime between the tail end of the 80s and the end of the millennium.
I've had this discussion elsewhere on here but I pretty much consider 1993 to roughly 2006-09 the golden age of PC gaming. So calling games from that era classic games is right in that ballpark for me.
I'm not saying you're wrong. Just that I feel old.

Haven't checked the remaster, but hopefully they kept the original Portuguese dubbing. On units specifically, it has a strangely but (imo) not unwelcomed humorous tone.
