Who's buying toothpaste $50 at a time?

[–] sexy_peach@feddit.org 46 points 1 week ago

People that are obsessed with deals instead of just buying home brand, buying bulk and per pound prices.

That's like 90% plastic waste

You know what’s wild about this? Pretty sure those are samples.

They’re the exact size of sample toothpaste I get in the plastic bag with every dentist visit.

Mama got conned.

Mama bought the pack of samples your dentist buys to give you.

This reminds me of the early COVID times when we ordered food with home delivery. Wife wanted 10 carrots and didn't look at the price or description, and we ended up with 10 sacks of carrots 🤣

That’s easily over $50 in brand name travel size toothpaste retail. They’re usually over $1 each.

Still a lifetime supply of toothpaste, as long as you only count vacations

One time I got the exact opposite of this: I bought gummy worms on the internet, and a week later, a very heavy box looking like it contained a monitor showed up at my door.

It was, indeed, completely filled with gummy worms.

The only downside was that it was an unsealed bag just kinda folded closed inside.

...I ate them all... Even sharing with friends, it took like a year. Didn't get sick. Could never figure out how to rebuy another box. Am sad.
