Not the first time, they seem to do that like once a year in my experience.
On my (Android) device, the recent blocking is already gone again, having lasted about two weeks.

It is a common strategy: first fix them on, then make life inconvenient for them to push for the next stage (be it app installation, more screen time or paying for stuff).

Seems like Reddit has moved on to the next "fixing on" stage again.

Perfect, I might even set my UA for reddit to mobile then, I need an "excuse" to keep on using it less. I still browse it without an account but I should lose the habit.

God, and the app actually sucks such a bag of dicks. I use it as infrequently as I possibly can because it actively fights me trying to get what I need from it.

Does it even support tabs yet?

Maybe I'm old but I browse link aggregators by opening a bunch of tabs then going through them, I'd your app doesn't support tabbed browsing what's even the point?

Unsurprising. The complete lack of concern from spez for the backlash to the appocalypse was the main reason I left. It signaled both that he is a condescending douche and that there's likely to be more.

I saw this recently, it had an X button to close for me.

It's a shame that reddit got more restrictive with his api...

Before you could use third-party clients without problems, apart from that the app is a complete trash
