there's no other real browser on ios, everything is just a gui reskin of safari. afaik there's no benefit to using anything else.
What happened with /c/unix_surrealism?

I don't know the details fully but isn't it like one Dev just patching Firefox? The whole Zen mod store seemed like an obvious vector for bad actors to me. What if he's on vacation when a patch drops for a zero day?
Browser is one of the most important and critical aspects of your system that houses a massive amount of critical data...
I'm curious why, as a zen user myself. What would you suggest as an alternative?

Iβve used Firefox based browsers for as long as I can remember and Iβd rather slam my dick in a car door than switch to garbage like brave. Every single one of those browsers is the same bloated Google-flavoured bullshit wearing a different fucking clown costume. Firefox is the only browser that doesnβt make me feel like Iβm being rawdogged by corporate spyware every time I open a tab.. Piss on carpet !!

My companyβs ERP software doesnβt work well on Firefox unfortunately. So brave is the next best option for me. Other chromium based browsers only work with UBO Lite which is very limiting for the amount of filters I have imported. So for work I use Brave and for personal I use FF with betterfox user.js.

How tables have turned. I went from FF to Chrome somewhere around 2009 just to move back in 2024. Fuck chromium.

I get Brave is still "chrome" I only use it on Android as most all android browsers suck or break in some way. On Linux (catchyos) I use https://zen-browser.app/
I have brave on Ios and if I'm correct it's just using Apple's safari webkit anyways. It's been a few years since I compared browsers but back then it was the least shit, including firefox and firefox private.
is this the one that requires you to log in? i tried one that looks just like that and i loved the design but forced sign-in is a deal breaker for me. how private can it be if it demands to know who i am?
