I found I was getting into an unhealthy cycle with this mentality where I'd party too hard the night before my day off and then all my days off would be spent recovering. I still do it sometimes but now I try and have some days off where I go to sleep early and bone sober so the next day I have energy to do shit like take a bike ride or go to the gym or clean my house.
But no I get it, some "Fridays" (usually not actually a Friday for me) I want to stay up till 3am blasted playing city simulator games.
