It really depends what kind of attacks you are experiencing. Account stealing? Data loss? Financial theft?
Are we talking personal or enterprise?

Even at night it's too hot. Day running is safer because of the exact reasons you stated. We can do things about the heat. Rest often, move shade to shade, drink water. But the dogs at night travel in packs, the bugs in colonies. Only the military moves at night, and they don't take chances with anyone.
