22YO, so yeah. That was probably peak Snapchat age for them.

This sure did sound homely. And a life in a bygone era.
Definitely not something I've heard of. This is either very old school America (50-80s) or something done in very small towns where everyone knows one another.
That said, this is definiely something I know friends would do for each other. Truck or not. You have some boys over to help move some stuff around, you cook or grab food for them an pay the bill. But you gotta be pretty good friends for me to call you up like that (or vice versa).
Wow. So Wikimedia is really just a small hedge fund that happens to run the servers for an encyclopedia on the side. I had a hunch they spent a lot more on other non-wikipedia stuff, but for hosting to cost almost 2% of what they invest is eye opening. And makes it all the more petty that they can't pay their labor. Especially since so much labor is in fact volunteer work.
Curious, what does Wikimedia actually invest in besides Wikipedia? It's still a non-profit, right?
they are a 3rd party and therefore not liable for the bullshit they spout.
Screw that liability BS so hard. You hire them to represent your company, you need to be accountable for what they do under your payroll.
I just hope the past generation (going on two now) have gotten people to see through the gaslighting and we can rise up against it this time.
We don’t have to disagree there.
Tariffs are fine. We do them all the time. Blanket tariffs is profoundly stupid in a world with decades of free trade agreements.
Sony, a Japanese company, is also not affiliated with the US government.
Sony interactive Entertainment is an American company, moving its HQ to the US in 2016. It organizes the playstation brand and this story focuses on the Playstation division.
Yes, I just said part of the justification for companies getting a refund was from people NOT buying luxury goods, costing them sales.
the fact that 40% of people are actively supporting all this means it’s too much.
Yet they would have most crawled back into their caves if Trump lost. It is too much they only get empowered by "their guy" in office, and not by what he does.
The prices went up, and customers accepted that price.
No, we really didn't. It was forced on us, credit card and car debt is at record highs, homelessness increased, spending power at the average household is down. And part of the reason companies are getting refunds is over potential lost sales. I. E. Because some customers did in fact refuse to accept the price.
Americans put Trump in place
Yup. Once again, no regrer there, huh?
how do you legally know that they passed all that cost on to the customers?
Audit and compare prices of goods to the tariffs
a majority of Americans voted to introduce tariffs.
Yeah, totally don't regret that one, huh?
errors made by the American government, making the tariffs illegal.
Errors is putting it very lightly. Tariff power have always lied with Congress (outside of a very narrow band of exception) and Congress did fuck all. The courts work very slow so this error is going cost trillions in the global economy from this year of "error".
It was the US government that is responsible for this money, not Sony.
And where'd they get the money from?
It's more of a vent than a joke. "In private" with trusted friends. If this was something said out loud or even on a public tweet I'd get it. But this seems to fall closer to something like confiding in therapy than that.
Ofc, a trained therapist would understan this is a rant. The AI does not, and the FBI couldn't care less about context.
