This means that there is no advertising, tracking, or secret algorithms. Content is organized into communities, so it is easy to subscribe to topics that you are interested in, and ignore others. Voting is used to bring the most interesting items to the top.

Think of it as an opensource alternative to reddit!

[a video about Cuba from the news collective Belly Of The Beast]

Hundreds of Cubans gathered in Havana to mark the 65th anniversary of Fidel Castro’s declaration of the socialist character of the Cuban Revolution.

Iván Domínguez Rivera, sugar industry union leader, described the event as an affirmation of national unity at a time of economic hardship and renewed threats from Washington.

Participants also condemned the U.S. government’s economic warfare, intensified in recent months by fuel restrictions that have deepened shortages across the island.

“No threat will prevent the unity of these people,” Domínguez said.

As I've said elsewhere, I'm a little older. I hear a lot about AI. I'm just trying to figure out what's "good" AI, what's "bad" and if there's even a difference. I do know that there's the whole stealing content to train AI bs going on, but is it deeper? Is there such a thing as good AI? Just trying to learn so I can be better person

New PeerBox version available on Codeberg. Lots of improvements have been made. Thanks to everyone who took part in the open beta over the weekend, it helped us a lot. After many hours of work on this new version, PeerBox is on a solid trajectory. The first plugins are also on their way and will be published soon. All your feedback is very useful, and help on development would be very welcome :-)

If you're like me, you probably need to update your image tag to this new major version. I'll probably wait for a minor release first.
