Or stop feeding them so much? I've had pets my whole life. A cat and dog now, but multiple cats and dogs since I was born . My parents had cats when I was born.

Not one was ever fat. This doesn't seem complicated.

I have one with hormone issues. She is 16 and does not over eat. She is 4 pounds overweight and its kinda hard to take a 16 year old cat jogging. Just because you have perfectly healthy animals isn't a realistic measure of everyone else's pets.

Obviously there are exceptions but that's not driving fat drugs for pets.
