What does a bunch of Aussies enjoying a holiday at the beach have to do with Israel?

[–] T00l_shed@lemmy.world 9 points 3 days ago (8 children)

It was for a Hanukkah celebration, there were a lot of Jewish people, and Israel has been working hard to equate Jewish with Israeli zionism

So are you saying a bunch of Aussies should not enjoy a holiday at the beach?

Wait till you see what happens on Christmas Days! There's even thousands of tourists too!

@fizzle@quokk.au's sarcastic comment was in poor taste and probably went over the heads of a few people. I understand the sentiment behind the comment and I think l It was probably posted out of horror, frustration, anger at the news.

I think @T00l_shed@lemmy.world may have been trying to help connect the dots for anyone who didn't understand what fizzle was going on about.

Yes, that is what I intended. Thanks!

Not so much horror, frustration, and anger, as merely trying to understand the motivations of the perps. I genuinely want to understand more about that.
