But it's not the same as the standard functionality. It's just convection mode, but that's not a standard oven feature.

Yeah I heard fan ovens are not common in the US. Which makes it understandable there and large Asian cities where space is a premium and letting properties dont necessarily have full ovens either.

My oven ws fan and the new version is fan with an airfryer setting too.

They're definitely more common in the US than they used to be, but it's not quite a standard feature yet.

But I do agree it's a bit silly to relabel convection as air frying, unless the air frying setting is actually different (like fan his faster or something).

Although thinking about it, it's not the worst relabel since most people are more familiar with the term air fryer.
