Yup

I dont understand why the musicians dont team up and make their own exclusive streaming service

Take out the middle mans profit margins

They got the money to make it, and market it

And every other music platform would die

Because in order to get to that stage you have likely signed away some rights to your music.

For the big artists at least, it's because the record labels as well being in cahoots with the streaming services. Having said that, all it takes is a couple of them to actually move to a more equitable platform and it will cause a domino effect. But they won't, because they're happy with the status quo. It's the smaller artists who get the small end of the stick.
