The core of the story has to be technology focused.
- If article mentions "AI" in a sentence and then talks about business economics that doesn't make it tech news.
- Gaming is too many layers removed from technology. There are many dedicated communities that are a better fit for it.
- Transporation is too many layers removed from technology. EVs while use many cool technologies have many dedicated communities that are a better fit for it.
- Entertainment is too many layers removed from technology. While sometimes it can fit here, business or cultural aspects of it are a better fit for dedicated communities.
- Cybersecurity. While it heavily focuses on technology, most of the time it's too technical for most people who are not already invested in it. Should be posted in a dedicated communities unless it has broader connection to other tech areas.
Post guidelines
Title format
Post title should mirror the news source title. If you don't like the title of article, look for an alternative source instead of editorializing it.
URL format
Post URL should be the original link to the article (even if paywalled) and archived copies left in the body. It allows avoiding duplicate posts when cross-posting.
[Opinion] prefix
Opinion (op-ed) articles must use [Opinion] prefix before the title. Opinion articles refer to articles that their publisher doesn't explictly endorse.
Country prefix
Country prefix can be added to the title with a separator (|, :, etc.) if the news is from a local publisher who doesn't clearly mention the country.

AI video won’t need Hollywood. Putting IP into it was a dumb idea. Mickey Mouse seductively polishing a candle stick? That’s not what they wanted, but that’s what they’d get.
When AI comes for movies, it’s going to show how crappy (most) movies already are.
I am not afraid of AI taking over movies, everything AI makes is suffocatingly derivative and boring.
AI makes what people tell it to. Hollywood is already creatively bankrupt, derivative, and boring. AI is, funnily enough, the solution to the current situation - it’ll allow budding film makers who could never get a million dollar budget to make entire movies with blockbuster level cgi and production for essentially peanuts. It’ll allow “reshoots” and editing and complete rewrites in an afternoon instead of months and millions more dollars.
It is funnily enough almost the saviour to movies, while spelling the demise of the movie industry as we know it. It’s electricity to the candle. It’s the model T to the horse and cart.
You clumsily believe in AI like somewhere between a religion and a scam you are trying to get me in on when the reality is this is a tool for bullshitters and nobody really likes bullshit art.
Even if AI wasn't primarily bullshit, which it is, your conception that AI making movie production "cheaper" and more disposable in nature will SAVE Hollywood from making uninspiring movies is laughably absurd.

If AI makes what you tell it to, as you say, than AI will make crushingly derivative and boring movies for massive companies that have extinguished all the other studios making movies that aren't AI slop.
I didn’t say AI will save Hollywood…….. quite the opposite actually - I said it will destroy Hollywood.
It means that filmmakers won’t need to worry about making $1bil at the box office just to break even, so every movie won’t have to be safe and derivative. Movies can take risks again because production costs are now a few thousand dollars instead of a few hundred million dollars. It allows rapid iteration, rapid “reshoots”, near instant CGI, automatic lip synched multi language audio, etc.

Without a constant influx of high quality human training data curated by humans AI is capable of nothing novel. It is a highly lossy data compression algorithm that is somehow so processing inefficient it has become an existential environmental problem because of the electricity use required to sustain this bullshit.

You should look at the PROFESSIONAL AI tools for video creation that involve an entire render process for the 3d scenes it makes, that import into apps like Blender, Maya, etc. Auto-rigging and motion generation basically allows anyone to make an entire movie.

You are deflecting from my points by appealing to a list of specific references to tooling when that doesn't address my actual point.
These are all lossy data compression algorithms trained on sets of human curated data created by humans. Sure you can make some use of them, but they are massively inefficient from almost every angle versus humans creating tutorials, humans creating project templates and easy to understand user interfaces, humans making teaching materials for other humans, humans answering questions on forums, humans just doing HUMAN things....
ANYTHING you argue as a pro for AI is just a poorly extracted benefit from a curated set of human data that could have been better leveraged by humans helping humans create new things directly.

So outline for me your understanding of how I could use artificial intelligence to make, for example, a 3-D movie similar to Pixar movies. Explain to me the process I would go through.
Outline for me why that wouldn't be a waste of time versus going straight to the tutorial videos and materials the AI stole the content from?
