Self-hosting adjacent, but you have to watch your jellyfin content somewhere, or connect to your audiobook store... Or even music.. what do you guys use for music?

Anyway, Amazon's firetv stick had a great remote. But sideloading on it comes to an end and it needs replacing. What do you guys have? Anything with a good remote and UI?

Roku tries to monitor HDMI activity on Roku TVs so they know exactly what's being watched at all times. They also insert ads into the menu on a regular basis and sometimes force install apps. Adguard Home has blocked the vast majority of the ads on screen, but from what I've found the menu ads can't be blocked.

If I had Fire TV and it's as bad as you say it would have been binned long ago.

All true. But a few years ago Fire TV had a big update that put full screen video ads that you must navigate off of every time you wake up the fire stick. It's so bad we stopped using it.
