greetings my fellow Penguins. as per the title. shit brokey. I launched the game for the first time yesterday and it just would not work. all the buttons work just not the mouse move = camera move. even in the menu dragging it doesn't work till I scroll or click a button.

I tried setting environmental variables such as SteamDeck=1 on Heroic and it did nothing. on my digging I unearthed that some people's mice would mouse if they put the nopssdk.dll and the associated version.dll in the game folder, and then setting the env var SteamDeck=0 and WINEDLLOVERRIDES="version=n,b" (I did not add the "" on Heroic btw). still nada. some have gotten it work after installing GameInput, but tis on Windows. we don't like Microslop around here. I looked into if there was a way to get it working on Linux but was ultimately unsuccesful.

I have a DualShock 4 that works but since my PS4 gone kaputt I'm more of a M&K kinda guy yk.

any1 else see this shit in a light I don't? thanks for the help.

up, down, left and right are bound to arrow keys which cannot be bound to mouse movements

You said this was on Deck, yeah? Check the Deck in-game controller settings. See what the mapping is supposed to be, versus how it's behaving. If it was previously working, something with configs changed. Nothing about your launch settings should to be messed with.

no no no. not on the Deck. I'm on desktop Arch (I forgot to mention). all other games I've played were totally fine. just finished God of War 2018 the day b4 yesterday.

I read on Reddit somewhere that just for this game they're doing M&K to controller emulation.

I didn't think it was possible for someone on Arch to NOT mention it. (btw)

I say it enough in bed (I'm a virgin)

...then why are you setting Steam Deck launch options? You may want to clarify that.

Same basic premise though. Check your controller confirm for both Proton, and then in the game.

I tested SteamDeck=1 as it can alleviate some problems with certain games. Marvel Rivals wouldn't launch w/o it. so I thought perhaps it's a thing w the GOWR not recognizing mouse movements through Proton. ofc SteamDeck=1 runs the game in Steam Deck mode but for the sake of testing fuck it.

I tested w my DS4 and the game was working fine just w M&K does mouse panning not work.
