Why edit an AI girl into the picture instead of the original?
It doesn't even match the art style.
Maybe they were trying to make the character smile and AI (doing as AI typically does) decided they should make him into an anime girl.

To shitty AI art? Yeah, same, it completely lacks all humanity.
Like it would be really weird to use a picture representing a person looking at a screen and have them not even looking at the screen, for example.
