Yeah, although most of the time they're made of metal and submerged entirely.
Hm. Yes, I suppose. Once it's completely under though we introduce a whole other range of risks :p Plus, who wants no sunlight. This guy even gets more sunlight wha with the probable hot spots burning holes in his board from time to time.
Not strictly related, "The Glass Submarine" would be a good book title.
