You are not allowed to bring an incendiary device on an airplane, no.

[–] AbsolutelyNotAVelociraptor@piefed.social 42 points 1 week ago (5 children)

Oh wait... that's an airplane? I thought it was a train. Looked to me like the high-speed trains we have around.

[–] 9point6@lemmy.world 10 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Why is it somehow so much worse that this is a train?

Like it's feral behaviour wherever you are, but somehow very slightly more expected this was on a plane IMO

[–] frischkaesbagett@feddit.org 2 points 1 week ago

Really? People in trains are so unhinged sometimes. I have the privilege of not being seen as a person to attack and tend to have weird hours to move around that might be a reason why I see many people doing absurd stuff, from drugs, sex, or binding over racial slurs (the person being the one being verbally attacked while absolutely laughing his ass of -> they talk about it and leave together going for a drink)

I'd argue the windows are way to big for a plane as well...

[–] Lemmyoutofhere@lemmy.ca 7 points 1 week ago

Planes will never have square windows as well.

[–] LodeMike@lemmy.today 9 points 1 week ago

Ope, yeah that's a train. Sorry.

[–] mexicancartel@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I know exactly which train this is. Its in india

[–] Sentau@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

As an Indian, that is surprisingly well maintained. The trains I travel by are not maintained this well. Would love to travel on this, minus the dickhead with his/her feet up

This is the Vande Bharath. It is this clean in many routes, but some old ones are not so clean and is messy. It depends on area and oldness of thoose trains.

The way they(TT and staff) treat passengers also feels premium, in the trains that are maintained this way

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Those seats look as uncomfortable as airplane seats, that's what I was thinking

[–] Shimitar@downonthestreet.eu 9 points 1 week ago

No seatbelts, it's a train

Yes. An airplaine with big square windows, no seat belts, and seats that a normal human can fit into.

[–] egrets@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Is this an American thing? I bring a lighter onto a plane half of the time I board.

[–] FellowEnt@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 week ago

Nah they're just wrong. TSA apparently even allows Zippos which is more lenient than Europe.

[–] Javi@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 week ago

I was thinking the same. I've travelled the world over with lighters in my pocket.

Only time it's ever been a problem, was trying to bring a jet lighter with me, which is quite ironic now that I think about it.
