Were these people stupid enough to purchase the phone with cash or a check and not a credit card? I'm sure VISA, M/C, and AMEX will refund the charge and do a chargeback. If they were stupid enough to wait more then two months (most companies have a 60 limit on contested charges), then they deserve to be shafted.

It's been way more than 2 months since they started taking reservations. So yeah the majority are probably screwed.

They waited until after the chargeback period was over and THEN changed the terms and announced the scam.

I guarantee most of the morons are outside the timeframe to get a refund/cancellation

Most of maga aren't the credit card type.

I've done a chargeback on my Visa past a year (eBay seller took an item back under warranty then refused to respond, refund, or replace).

I'm also going to guess that there is some fine print to the effect of "no refunds when we don't deliver".

Edit: Yup. "a revised terms of service published on 6 April 2026. The updated document states explicitly that paying a deposit 'does not constitute a completed purchase and does not create a binding legal contract.' The payment is described as 'a conditional opportunity to buy the device if Trump Mobile eventually chooses to sell it,' with the company retaining all control over whether a phone is produced at all."
