I had been thinking of making this for a while and a annoying meme on lemmy.ml made me decide to make this.

As I've mentioned in some places. My first interactions with MLs were not positive. I knew some people IRL and any other space I found were racist, misogynistic, queerphobic you name it.

It made me depressed because I figured it was just a fancy way to be "left" but bigoted. A way to not deconstruct your problems while feeling like you were the hero of your own story.

Ive been pleasantly surprised here. I'm happy to know that seemed like a minority and most MLs just want a better world.

I'm also happy to know I've been wrong about a lot of issues globally. It's honestly helped my mental health.

Cheers comrades. heart-sickle

I've met good and bad MLs over the years. Whatever material circumstances make people toxic does not appear to be inherent to the ideology. While there are a lot of toxic influencers who brand themselves as ML it's important to remember that the feds have an army of Mormons banning leftists daily, yet these people have millions of followers.
