Tbf, you can swap capitalism with any ideology since communist countries aren't exactly environmentally friendly either. Which makes sense, just because you have economic equality doesn't exactly mean you eliminate climate change. There's a debate to be had for which is worse for the environment, but switching ideologies doesn't completely solve climate change in itself

Do we only have a binary choice between capitalism and communism now? Despite there being multiple forms of both, nevermind systems outside of those two.
Capitalism has proven itself to be utterly disastrous for the environment, what do you gain from whataboutism trying to defend it by comparing it with the USSR? The USSR doesn't exist, we need to deal with the problems we have now, not blethering on about the past. And the problems we have right now are caused by capitalism.
It's a common myth that climate change is only a product of capitalism even communist countries have also done lots of damage to the planet, that was just one example from the top of my head. Was never saying that capitalism isn't disastrous for the environment because it is, but it's not completely unique to capitalism, which seems to be the underlying message of this meme. So, in short, it wouldn't be enough to simply convert the world to communism, but to make sweeping radical reforms to slow climate change down as well to at least make sure we don't go extinct since...well, climate change is already here unfortunately. It's only a manner of how lethal it will be once it gets even worse
