Ah, so we judge actions not by their merit, but by who performs them? Or, put another way, if you wrestle a pig, you both get muddy.
I think it's pretty standard for people to complain when someone unilaterally abuses their position to ban a bunch of people that criticized them for cracking down on leftists.

That is judging a person by their behavior towards others, not by who the person happens to be. If you want to be a nerd and call that "merit" then do that, but don't make up lies and then use analogies that don't apply in any way to anything that's happening here. Really are you just pulling random shit that maybe you heard people more thoughtful and aware than yourself say once, and think you can just toss those same phrases out whenever you want to sound like you understand what's happening? Because I hate to have to inform you, that's not how it works.
