If I felt a wealth tax would never apply to me, I'd be for it. But knowing how the ultrarich manipulate the system, it's just a matter of time before it applies to the masses of average citizens. Own a house or condo? A car? A computer? A pencil? Wealth tax it all (?). Maybe not today under this specific plan, but that's what the wealth tax begins, and it will eventually evolve to.
This sentiment is exactly what is wrong with America. The temporarily embarrassed millionaires.
You should endorse it regardless of whether you, too, may need to pay in if it redistributed wealth from the top 1% into the top 80%. The greatest economic booms of our history happened when the wealthy were properly taxed. Even if you were to need to pay taxes, you'd probably end up getting more than what you are paying in.
