Unicorn Overlord.

Tried it around 2 years back and my biggest problem with it was that it was way too easy, which killed all need to engage with its tactics and squad building mechanics, which are the main mechanics of the game.

I'm now playing it on the highest difficulty with some personal restrictions. It started out pretty hard in the first couple of missions but has already become way easier by the end of the second nation. I hope that the difficulty ramps up again soon because the generic ass story certainly won't keep me going.
