Long story short, they were born under our porch and we've been around them since birth so they are used to us.

The mother of 7 of the cats that are around now lives inside with us due to a dog attack that left her front right foot paralyzed.

Edit: "feral" probably isn't the right word for them all... Semi-feral? They hide from other people, but seem to trust my wife and I.
