Do any of you guys now a company that produces quality mice where their firmware is open source and can be flashed/programmed with opens source software?

I got completely sidetracked by this, but who on earth holds their mouse like this?

Edit: Apparently there are valid ways to hold a mouse like this. TIL an image of a person's hand on a Ploopy mouse, with the middle finger on the left click button, and the ring finger on the right click button.

Lol that's certainly one way to do it. ~~I have actually seen a few mice with three buttons and a wheel but that's obviously not whatever's going on here~~

Edit: I'm an idiot, there's 4 buttons on top apparently

It has 4 buttons on top.

Honest answer: pro gamers. I see pro Starcraft 1, 2, and Counter-Strike pros do this. I think it's weird but I guess it works for them.

Fair, but those bits on the sides of the main mouse buttons are also buttons
