That would have been heavenly to me as a child! I used to daydream about things like that. What was her cooking like?
Her pastries and desserts were fabulous. The gram on the other side is what you wanted for meals. Plenty of butter and bacon grease and seasonings for flavor. Before instapot days and she was already pressure-cooking+frying chicken and pork chops, we made homemade liver pudding , sausages etc fresh from our own stock, fruit and veggies fresh from our own gardens and trees, and even homemade wine
Both were great at jams, jellies and sweet puddings.
All great/ gramps may or not have known something about homemade liquors and brandies.๐ค
Oh that is gooooood. There's no cooking quite like a granny's cooking...
