if this is unironic look into spain and cuba. probably cheaper to get to and both well known destinations for medical tourism

side note the fact that the term medical tourism exists in common parlance is an indication that the entire society i live in needs to be burned down and rebuilt from the foundations. lovely thoughts on this sunday afternoon

Medical tourism to Spain is hilarious to me as a Spaniard because getting an appointment with a specialist here is fucked up as shit. Waiting times to be seen by a specialist are often 6+ months, except for urgency procedures (and many times even then).

CW: fucked up medical shit and cancerThere has been a recent medical scandal where over 2000 women weren't given the results of their mammograms, many of them with cancer, due to gross underfunding with a sprinkle of negligence and misogyny. I wonder how many fucking people have to die before people realize that this kind of shit is not tolerable

Don't get me wrong, by all means come to Spain to get treatment if that's an option for you, the fault in our system is not medical tourism but intentional lack of funding. Private healthcare is skyrocketing here, as was the goal all along. I fucking hate it.

Not ironic, but I'd also like to visit China. Thanks for the info tho. I'll keep that in mind if I ever have the money for it.
