The article is strange. It is dated for today, but then at the end mentions that the eighth book is due out in May, which is was, and has since released...

AI seems to have problems with tense. Or the article was written earlier but not published until now. Idk.
Ocamm's razor says easily prouded AI slop makes more sense.
Sometimes clickbait places also update the dates on articles so it appears “fresher” for SEO.
Not sure when this announcement was actually made but that also could be it.
