Some Rules

Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
Don't promote proprietary software
Try to keep things on topic
If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered
Reposts are fine, but should have at least a couple of weeks in between so that the post can reach a new audience

Boy, the good ole days are gone when it comes to Windows. I am posting just to help anybody that doesn't know. This is like a creepy wire tap. If you are actually using Windows 11, make sure to disable and or reduce telemetry in Windows 11 (Privacy). If that actually helps, I am sure there are more ways they send data back but the video link is a simple how to for the telemetry. Here is more info: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wtg_s1GQiMU

They all do. Mint has always seemed behind (having to follow Ubuntu) and their upgrade and package paths are strange.

With so many better options, why that one?

How does it not make sense? And what leads you to believe I'm a loon?

And are you really voting on Lemmy? Lol.

Edit: all sorts of distro work well. It's just why this one? I don't think it's particularly friendly, or up to date, it inherits a lot of crap from Ubuntu.
