Social media is so bad for your self-esteem. I hate Instagram for many reasons but one of them is that it used to make me feel really awful about myself because it's packed to the brim with beautiful people appearing to be very confident and successful.
When you see a million posts of dudes with supermodel girlfriends standing on balconies overlooking stunning beaches on the coasts of Italy or France it starts to give you a real sense of inadequacy. But it's not always the full story.
