a single 1st world female being SA'd is more important than the destruction, murder and oppression of entire 3rd world countries for these Western Sucdems.
We all know Americans have never cared about foreigners. I wish this surprised me at all
If a society thinks in individual-aligned manner, it will of course think that his SA stuff disqualify him. But if the society think in a collective-aligned manner then people would care more about the oppression of 3rd world.
So I don't think just racism explain this, but also individualism. (Which i think has a relationship with capitalism)
PS: i don't disagree with what you said, just had a tangential thought.
