I played this for a bit a couple months ago and it's definitely fun but I'm terrible at keeping my crew fed apparently. They're constantly falling asleep from hunger but I have no one that can produce anything beyond the level 1 agriculture. I need to get back to it and either just start a new crew or see what happens when I let this crew starve out.

You need the algae food paste thing until you can pick up another crew member or train someone up on the learning station.
