It wasn't the 90's.

I lived through the 90's and never once actually saw one of these. They were always in cartoons, though.

I lived through the 90s, frequently saw snakes jump out of cans of peanut brittle.

But I basically never saw any real cans of peanut brittle.

I wasn't alive in the 70s, but I remember seeing them a bunch when I was a kid in the 80s. A lot of the time they were in cans labeled "peanut brittle," which I always thought was weird because to this day I have never once seen actual peanut brittle packaged in a can.

Yeah, I know I found them at my grand parents house, with my dad's sruff from the 70s. But the last time I saw one was then, in the 90s. Everyone probably threw them out when they got discovered that way with old stuff.

But at least you could still afford them in the 90s, and even have the money to electively buy snack sized cans of nuts in the first place.
