China has been oppressing Uyghurs since before 2009. not because they are poor. not because they are Muslim. not because they aren't "Chinese". they do it because Uyghurs refuse conformity to Chinese culture.

Probably foreign countries are comparing the US and China's foreign policies. China is going to exert economic control internationally. The US does that, too, but is also starting wars and generally strong-arming everybody because our current administration doesn't know how to do anything else.
Tbf, China's been pushing for military control across the entire South China Sea, threatening the territorial waters of neighboring countries. Plus they've been a constant threat to Taiwan, and might still try to invade them in the next few years.
That's not to belittle the provlems that the US has, just pointing out that China's hands aren't clean, they're just at a smaller scale and better at framing it
This has been thoroughly debunked. The one main woman who claims she saw abuses, changes her story every year (and now claims that she didn't actually witness any abuse lol). Every other news "source" just cites her and a handful of anti-communist funded media outlets.
