Yeah, Volvo Group hasn't owned Volvo Cars since 1999. They decided heavy equipment and other more specialty stuff was better market, than the passenger cars.
Volvo Group (AB Volvo) owns:
Volvo, Mack & Renault Trucks; Volvo Bus; Volvo Construction Equipment; Volvo Penta (marine and industrial engines)
Geely owns:
Volvo Cars (Volvo Personvagnar AB), Polestar
