I can see pimp being useful for real life prostitution (especially safety), but digital distribution of media? What does a digital pimp do besides making reddit/x posts?

Well it turns out most of the people who sell screenshots of their butthole online don't have very strong work ethics.

But they do have a lot of extra cash so they pay someone to do all that pesky "work" involved.

I'd hazard a guess that this is just doing the boring marketing that a performer doesn't want to do. Not quite the same as protection.
