It does not hurt to apply elsewhere. Ask about the work culture in the interviews, ask about how overtime is handled.
Workplaces are usually not that bad (at least in Europe, I don’t know about other places)
To expand on asking about work culture, also ask about work/life balance: what policies the company have for it in general and what the manager specifically does to foster it.
