AI shouldn’t practice law for the same reasons voting machines shouldn’t use touchscreens to write to a database: humans cannot see or audit the process between input and result.
Of course, just like voting machines, this won’t stop anyone
I mean, a human can audit the code. Paper voting can still be messed with. I would like an open source secure voting platform to try with other things for a few years first, just to see if they could get something reliable.
I agree but it's also a matter of education. The voting system and legal system should be reasonable (as in able to reasoned about) the plurality of people.
For the plurality of people I just saw I work on computers and that is descriptive enough for them to know they don't know enough to talk anymore in depth about my work lol
