I won't quote your comment because you deleted it, and it wasn't that bad.
But I'll respond to it anyway.
The news you get from whatever state media you're watching, or whatever you happen to see here on Lemmy or Reddit, is not representative of the country as a whole.
There is significant opposition to what is happening in my country right now. We do not like ICE as a whole. We do not consider it legitimate law enforcement. To many of us, it has become a modern-day Gestapo.
They are widely disliked across many communities in America. Many people view those employed by ICE as the bottom-of-the-barrel refuse of our society.
If you'd like to understand what is actually happening in our country, I suggest doing something more than toilet-bowl research.
