other crows obviously
There's this guy from Vienna on Mastodon that has completely mastered the art of having crow friends: https://mastodon.wurzelmann.at/@wurzelmann/114500893679675985
They just follow him around on his commute ๐
How do I befriend the crows ? I live pretty much in the middle of a huge colony of them
From what I've gathered: peanuts. Leave peanuts for them (the natural kind with shell) and hang around at a safe distance.
Slowly decrease the "safe distance" over the span of a few weeks until they've come to trust you and eat peanuts when you're close to them.
Then they'll associate you with food and will anticipate it and flock around you when you're near them. Easy right? ๐
Be careful, I started doing this with the scrub jays that had babies in a bush at my house and they found my bedroom window, now I wake up to screaming hungry jays that want their daily peanut allotment
