If they're 38, that makes them born around 1988 and their parents firmly in GenX (1965-1980) territory.

Yes, Boomers did that dumb shit, but Xer Men in general were 'Metrosexuals', taking on tasks at home originally only designated for wives and genuinely tried to parent.

As an Xer myself whose kids are nearly 25, I call bullsht on that lame excuse. They sound like shitty parents on both sides.

Things move slower in different places, I'm betting 38 years ago in North Dakota dudes were not metro sexual, a term which by the way came out in the mid 2000s to describe men who groomed themselves.

I see your point, but imagine anyone you know who was ten years older than you and from a more rural area.
