Im a little OOTL: Is it now proven "beyond reasonable doubt" that he did it, or did he even confess? What's the punishment? If not, where is he and how's the story going?
His state murder trial is scheduled for September 8. His federal trial has been postponed so the lawyers can focus on the state case.

Weird to have him tried twice for the same offense, but then a lot of things in the US law system are weird to me.
I see. But the evidence from his backpack does seem overwhealming. OTOH I don't see why he wouldn't throw the pistol away... well, that's all just speculation. I for one wish him well and I can see an argument for not guilty even if he did kill that CEO.
