No “ai” friend will be able to provide the same social interactions and such as a real human.
While it might be better than living alone and feeling lonely, while home, for some, i really doubt this will take off in the way that some of these articles would have us believe
If this ai girlfriend reminded these goons to clean their room and shower, maybe they could be slightly useful
This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Half of my friends are socially inept quite nerds who don't say shit online. All of them provide little socialization outside of small bursts or even we made it a point to hang out in person. It would be trival for me to fill a lot of those gaps if I didn't have other outlets. The lack of empathy around AI interactions and how they form relationships is astounding.
