Privacy has become a very important issue in modern society, with companies and governments constantly abusing their power, more and more people are waking up to the importance of digital privacy.
In this community everyone is welcome to post links and discuss topics related to privacy.
Some Rules
- Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
- Don't promote proprietary software
- Try to keep things on topic
- If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered

They've legitimately have done this same song and dance like 3 times already. Like 2012ish erra they canceled a facial recognition thing they said they didnt have due to backlash. Their whole auto facial tagging system was another one.
Now they are contributing to ai segmentation tools that focus on seperating your face so it can be used in nonconsentual ai porn that they have no way of stopping.
I don't even know what one they are referencing in this article but they are always working on facial recognition for some reason. If you are on facebook or any of the meta services you are going to be used in their ai to generate porn, or stupid memes you don't want to be associated with.
Don't forget ads.
