Early last week, I was at the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library for its first weekend. At the library itself, despite President Donald Trump inserting himself incongruously into the opening ceremonies, I did not see a single person sporting a Trump-branded clothing item.

The town of Medora, North Dakota, itself was, however, a different story. It wasn’t overwhelming. But for someone who lives in an urban center of a blue state, where even in the ruby red rural areas most people have become sufficiently shamed to shut up about their MAGA tendencies, a single errant MAGA cap is a rarity.

Do you genuinely believe

Yes. The evidence suggests it’s true. So, yes.

Do you know…

Yes, and it didn’t stop Biden or Clinton being elected when they got enough votes did it? Yes I know what it is and I know it’s a problem. Unfortunately for the w3 cAnTd0 aNaThAng argument, it has put Democrats in as well.

Honestly, only Americans get away with this ay…continuing to make disproven arguments valid. Anyone else tried this, it’d be out of line.

.... no they were not elected because of votes. I'm sure that the media made a big deal about the votes. It doesn't actually matter, they could have just picked someone else. Democrats are the same as Republicans in terms of impact on real people. The only difference is the PR. Obama did the whole prison camp for immigrants thing too.

I didn't say we can't do anything.

Well, yeah you are saying you can’t do anything.

Seriously if Americans were as committed to the electoral process as they are finding excuses for the government they elected they’d have the most progressive government in the world. Being tribal about your politics isn’t committing to the electoral process either.

I didn't say we can't do anything, I said we can't do it alone.

You’re gonna have to.

Not only is it not our responsibility, we can’t help. Believe me, us sanctioning the US will only turn your government against us. All we can do is what we are…ride it out, be as friendly as we can (the reason Australia goes above and beyond is because of who we are and a little debt from WW2 but the citizenry’s patience is being tested) and try not to poke the bear too much.

But it’s your job and your responsibility, not ours. We were told to mind our own business for years when we warned US citizens this was coming during the Obama tenure, when Ryan and Gingrich started their obstructionist crap.

The sooner you all get together on a peaceful shutdown the better off you’ll be.

I hate to break it to you but American fascism will probably turn against you regardless, and cannot be appeased. You won't be saved by refusing to side with American citizens. Appeasement will not win you safety.

[–] stylusmobilus@aussie.zone 3 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

What?

Yeah, we know, unless their citizens stop it.

Mam, your argument is dogshit. Just let it be. Take the L.

[–] oceancloud@discuss.online -1 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

Oh, that's why you've been so disrespectful and refuse to follow up on what I'm saying to you. You think I'm a woman.

[–] stylusmobilus@aussie.zone 1 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

Yeah that’s pathetic

It’s a typo

Keep going though you’re just embarrassing yourself now
