Early last week, I was at the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library for its first weekend. At the library itself, despite President Donald Trump inserting himself incongruously into the opening ceremonies, I did not see a single person sporting a Trump-branded clothing item.

The town of Medora, North Dakota, itself was, however, a different story. It wasn’t overwhelming. But for someone who lives in an urban center of a blue state, where even in the ruby red rural areas most people have become sufficiently shamed to shut up about their MAGA tendencies, a single errant MAGA cap is a rarity.

So if that’s the case, how did Biden manage to win? Did the Republicans let him?

Did they let Clinton win?

Nope, if enough turn out to vote, the US will get the president they want.

Biden won because the electoral college wanted him to win. He belongs to the same social class as Trump.

Yes, they let Clinton win.

No, it doesn't matter who we vote for. The only options are their people, and then they get to disregard which of their people that we pick if they want to.

"Voting won't help" isn't the same thing as giving up, but it is an acknowledgment of our reality.

Yeah honestly, this is just sad to watch. They won because they were elected. Like Mamdani.

This is just snivelling stuff.

Yeah now you’re just arguing in bad faith

I’m done here.

If you get another shot, get out and vote, encourage your friends to do the same, help anyone you can that can’t.
